Would I support the development of a "bionic" person?

I personally would support the development of a "bionic" person if it meant that the person is capable of fully consenting to the idea and said person is fully aware of all the risks and circumstances that are involved.  I prefer the idea of a prosthetic or a bionic suit over a cyborg human/machine hybrid where the line between person and machine are too blurred and there are less opportunities to reverse said decision.  I would personally support the development of a "bionic" person if it enhances certain physical tasks or lifestyle disabilities, senses (vision, hearing, taste, feel), or even something that may enhance a person's memory.  I have reservations about devices that may control or influence a person's personality, intention, judgement, or decision making.
