Would I support the development of a "bionic" person?
I personally would support the development of a "bionic" person if it meant that the person is capable of fully consenting to the idea and said person is fully aware of all the risks and circumstances that are involved. I prefer the idea of a prosthetic or a bionic suit over a cyborg human/machine hybrid where the line between person and machine are too blurred and there are less opportunities to reverse said decision. I would personally support the development of a "bionic" person if it enhances certain physical tasks or lifestyle disabilities, senses (vision, hearing, taste, feel), or even something that may enhance a person's memory. I have reservations about devices that may control or influence a person's personality, intention, judgement, or decision making.

Acupuncture as effective energy medicine
One of the primary assertions of Chinese medicine is a simple law of energetics. Changes in matter are always preceded by a change in the state of ENERGY. A basic general relativity statement is that mass tells space how to curve, and space tells mass how to move. In other words, mass forms the geometry of space, the geometry of space, in turns, dictates the behavior of mass within it.
Space tells mass how to move (energy), the space of the acupuncture channels, the space of the gravitational field of our bodies, in which the mass has to fill up the geometry of the field. As we manipulate the force of the gravitational field of the body through acupuncture, the mass has no alternative but to behave accordingly within the field. So change the energy and you change the mass. Chinese medicine works by manipulating the energetic force fields. Since all states of matter are preceded by a change in the state of the energy, Chinese medicine allows us the opportunity to detect these changes in the states of energy before they've had an opportunity to change the state of the mass. The alteration or imbalance in the energetic field of the system is reflected in the pulse, the tongue, or complexion. They reveal the configuration of the force before it actually manifests as physical damage. We can detect it before it's done damage, and return it back to homeostasis. We don't have to wait for tissues to degenerate, because the energetic alterations send out detectable red flags before there's an opportunity for damage, and can be corrected at that point.
The Lingshu says "The superior doctor PREVENTS disease; the mediocre doctor treats imminent illness, the inferior physician treats the actual disease."

How sacred geometry assists me in the practice of medicine
Sacred geometry assists me in the practice of Chinese medicine in that many of the ideas and concepts that drive Chinese medicine have a high degree of significance to numbers, as does Sacred Geometry. For example, in the Dao De Jing, it states that "The Dao begot the one, the one begot the two, the two begot the three, and the three begot the ten thousand things." So we have origin, the two - Yin and Yang, three- Heaven, life, and earth, (San Tai), the four seasons, five phases, six circulations, the eight extraordinary vessels, twelve principal channels, sixty four hexagrams that then go on to 128, 256, 512, so on and so forth. This in many ways is like the Fibonacci sequence - A sequence of numbers where the next number is found from adding the two numbers before it. From this nature forms the patterns and shapes like spirals we see from sea shells to Sunflowers. In other words these Geometries reflect the blue print of life forms and their frequencies. When we have a greater understanding of this geometry and our relationship to health and maintaining homeostasis we see how these principles assist us in the practice of medicine.

Newton's 3 Laws and me
Newton's 3 laws of motion states that things want to stay in the position they are (inertia), until an outside force brings them into motion, and once that motion is enacted, it wants to stay in that motion until outside forces stop it. The first law is that things want to keep doing what they are already doing. His second law states that the acceleration of an object depends upon the mass of an object and the amount of force that's applied (force=mass x acceleration). The more mass there is, the more force is required to move said object. When the force of gravity is included in the equation, We have Fg=mg, where we can determine the weight of an object. Newton's third law states that for every action, there's an equal but opposite reaction.
These "laws" remained unchallenged for hundreds of years, until recently when the theory of gravity is now largely dismissed and considered outdated with research coming out concerning the supermassive black hole in the center of the milky way. The very nature of the way we thought gravity behaves is now insufficient in understanding the more complex relationships with the globe in relation to the solar system and the universe.
This taught me that no matter how much we think we know, we cannot be satisfied in calling things absolute, because there always seems to be something that can come and challenge and upset the status quo.

Consciousness out of chaos?
Chaos is not only how we grow as human beings, but is also a fundamental law of nature.
In 1977 a Nobel Prize was rewarded to a man by the name of Ilya Prigogine. He was a chemist who studied the Second Law of Thermodynamics. If a tree falls in a forest and lays on the ground, it will go through entropy and decay. As time goes on it will fall apart, eroding into further chaos.
The same can be said of our own relationships with friends and family. If left neglected for very long, can fall apart. This is the Second Law at work. It’s true in our everyday lives as well as in nature.
But Prigogine got his Nobel Prize for an observation that seems contrary or completely the opposite. He said nature creates ORDER out of chaos. Usually when you take a normal organism or compound, and put energy into it, it’ll take the energy in and pass it out. Kind of like when we go through our daily routines, activities, food, conversation, we manipulate it and pass it out in the form of energy.
However, when we start adding more ENERGY, to the point of overloading it and under extreme pressure, something very interesting happens. When there’s too many problems to deal with. In physics they call this “perturbation”. Perturbation simply means upsetting the status quo. This is where GREATNESS comes from.
Prigogine’s observation showed that increasing the amount of energy to the point of overloading it, will start to vibrate and quiver. As the pressure increases, the vibrating increases to where it seems like it can’t handle anymore. Kind of like when you have so much stressed to the point where one more thing will make you scream. It looks like everything is about to collapse. But in the RIGHT conditions, something else happens.
This observation is what Prigogine got the Nobel Prize for.
When a system reaches this perturbation threshold, UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS, it doesn’t fall apart. It doesn’t collapse, It crosses a line into consciousness.
It actually transforms and evolves into a more complex structure that is able to handle more pressure.
Like the tree that falls and decays in the forest. As it sinks and goes through entropy and goes through the pressure of earth over time, it transforms into coal. Under even more pressure and heat, the same coal ultimately turns into a diamond. A substance that is way more complex and stronger, able to handle incredible amounts of pressure.
When working out, your muscles feel like they’re about to explode, like you can’t handle any more, but instead your muscles grow and develop. You become more adapted and able to handle more weight, pressure.
In nature, transformation and growth occur under chaos and pressure, by upsetting the status quo and by overloading existing situations. This is my perspective of consciousness out of chaos, and how nature wants you to GO FOR IT!

Connections I can make between Energy and Qi
With just about every written documentation I've found on Qi, there is always the concept of Yin and Yang included within it. In other words there is no Qi without Yin and Yang. The way that I can describe Qi is that Qi is the dance or interplay between Yin and Yang. It's the result of these polar opposites meeting and the resulting emanation is Qi. Qi is is like energy in that it's in constant motion, it's the driver and mover of all things. And just like how energy, speed and mass are connected in that you can't have one without the other, Qi, cannot exist without Yin and Yang because they're connected and inseparable from each other.

Is the Universe Weird?
The problem with us humans is that we have a very limited point of observation and perspective. When we ponder the vastness that is the Universe, it's important to keep in mind that the points of observation and perspective match its expanse. I find that even in the way we filter our thoughts through language limit our view of how we can perceive the Universe. How we wrap our minds around the concepts of time, space, matter, may or may not always be consistent with our tools of understanding (like mathematics). Things we believed were absolutes a century ago are not the same today. Is the Universe weird? Perhaps it is, the more we grow and learn, and the more we think we understand her, she throws another curve ball and the more mysterious she becomes.
