How sacred geometry assists me in the practice of medicine
Sacred geometry assists me in the practice of Chinese medicine in that many of the ideas and concepts that drive Chinese medicine have a high degree of significance to numbers, as does Sacred Geometry. For example, in the Dao De Jing, it states that "The Dao begot the one, the one begot the two, the two begot the three, and the three begot the ten thousand things." So we have origin, the two - Yin and Yang, three- Heaven, life, and earth, (San Tai), the four seasons, five phases, six circulations, the eight extraordinary vessels, twelve principal channels, sixty four hexagrams that then go on to 128, 256, 512, so on and so forth. This in many ways is like the Fibonacci sequence - A sequence of numbers where the next number is found from adding the two numbers before it. From this nature forms the patterns and shapes like spirals we see from sea shells to Sunflowers. In other words these Geometries reflect the blue print of life forms and their frequencies. When we have a greater understanding of this geometry and our relationship to health and maintaining homeostasis we see how these principles assist us in the practice of medicine.
